On Dec. 7, 2012, NEA Administrator Edita S. Bueno accompanied by NEA personnel and gov't. officials visited the affected areas. A few days later, His Excellency, Pres. Benigno Aquino III followed and promised hope to the people by directing the DORECO to restore power within 20 days.

The DORECO together with the ever-committed workforce of the EC's "Task Force Kapatid", despite all odds, delivered the initial light of hope ahead of schedule.
